Foreclosures Fall to Lowest Level Since 2007

In 2011, the number of Home Foreclosure Filings decreased by 33% to their lowest level in 4 years. While a siginficant reason for this is due to the overall stabilization of the Housing Markets, it is also attributed to the deliberate slowing down of Foreclosures in wake of the Robo-Signing Lawsuites that occured in 2010. Lenders and foreclosing Law Firms slowed down the foreclosure processes to help ensure that they were following all the correct guidelines as required in the Foreclosure Process.
